Blurred Lines: Getting Clear about Relationship

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 9am to 3:30pm, the brothers of Syracuse Alumni in partnership of Vera House, Inc, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, 100 Black Men of Syracuse and the SCSD Parent University presents Blurred Lines, a workshop for teens. It was a one-day event, hosted by highly educated volunteers, who informed a group of students in grades six through nineabout a healthy relationship.
The volunteers chose from two shifts, 8am to 11:30am and 11:30am to 3:00pm. The shifts can consist of brothers working registration, helping set up for breakfast and/or lunch, raffles, etc. Once volunteers arrived, they were given duties to fulfill.
The event took place at Institute of Technology at Central. Brother David Cadet, Brother Reginald Steward, Brother Ernest Daily, Brother Maurice Etheredge, Superintendent of Syracuse Schools Sharon Contreras (of Delta Sigma Theta) were a few attendants at the event.
