On May 18, 2013 the Brothers of Chester Alumni and the Chester Youth Collaborative held held their joint annual Chester Youth Summit. The summit is a one-day event created to promote healthy lifestyles, while empowering student and parents to become positive catalysts for change in their homes, schools, and communities. This is accomplished through the array of educational workshops and circle learning forums offered during the event. The summit was capped off by keynote speaker Mr. Armand Mosley, the Mayor of Chester, Mr. John A. Linder (pictured center), and was sponsored by many local and national businesses such as GlaxoSmithKline, Delaware Valley Community College, and the African American Museum in Philadelphia. This event is sure to become a staple and catalyst for change in the Chester area for years to come.
