The College Park Alumni Chapter launched a reading initiative entitled Noble Nupes on January 19, 2013. Held at Barnes and Noble on Camp Creek Parkway in East Point, the CPAC members encouraged young students from the age of 5-11 to read. The day started with a round table discussion on the importance of reading. Later, the kids were paired with brothers and read aloud. Being Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, the books read pertained to Civil Rights and the life of Dr. King. Initially, there were 15 participants, but as the event went on several parents asked if their kids could be involved and were gladly accepted. The chapter provided each student with books to take home.
